CONTEST RULES

  1. Eligibility:

The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, who participate in the Reuse Ottawa program by returning reusable containers to any participating Reuse Ottawa return location. To be eligible, participants must have downloaded the Reusables.com app and received their unique Reuser ID. Employees of the Circular Innovation Council and Reusables.com, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.

  1. How to Enter:

For each Reuse Ottawa reusable container returned to a participating location, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the contest. There is no limit to the number of entries an individual can earn. Entries are automatically submitted upon return of the container, tracked via the participant’s phone number or app.

  1. Contest Period:

The contest runs on a monthly basis, beginning at 12:00 AM (EST) on the first day of the month and ending at 11:59 PM (EST) on the last day of the month.

  1. Prizes:

Each month, two (2) winners will be selected to receive a $50 gift card to a Reuse Ottawa participating retailer. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer.  Additional prizes may be added at the discretion of the contest organizers.

  1. Draw Date:

Winners will be randomly selected after the last day of each month. The winners will be notified within five (5) business days of the draw via the contact information provided during their participation.

  1. Claiming the Prize:

Winners must claim their prize within ten (10) business days of being notified. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize, and a new winner may be drawn at the discretion of the contest organizers.

  1. No Purchase Necessary:

No purchase is required to enter the contest. Individuals may also enter by mailing a handwritten entry, including their full name, phone number, and the subject line “Reuse Ottawa Contest” to [address], limited to one (1) mail-in entry per month.

  1. Odds of Winning:

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest period.

  1. Prize Substitution:

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable. Contest organizers reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value.

  1. Privacy:

Personal information collected for the purposes of this contest will only be used for administering the contest and contacting the winners.

  1. Disqualification:

Contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant found tampering with the contest process or violating the contest rules.

  1. Limitation of Liability:

Contest organizers are not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries, nor for any technical malfunctions that may affect entry or the contest process.

  1. Changes to Contest:

Contest organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time, without notice, if any factor interferes with its proper conduct.

  1. Quebec Residents:

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
